He will be keen to remind everyone of his on-field prowess, coming off a career-best season in his first season at Geelong, where he finished third in Brownlow voting, only to spend the off-season in the headlines for the wrong reasons after his Mad Monday antics.
Having lost his licence last week, Smith has fortunately found a lift in joining the clan Dangerfield for his trip out west, with the Cats captain spotted in Osborne Park organising his transport.
Smith also lost out on wearing his favoured No.3 at the weekend, with Fremantle’s Caleb Serong to take his number due to having played one more AFL match in his career, demoting Smith to wear No.33

The bulk of Victoria’s squad, as well as the rest of WA’s Melbourne-based contingent, are expected to arrive later on Wednesday.
Former Eagle turned Hawk Tom Barrass was one of the earlier arrivals and did not waste the opportunity to spend some extended time back in WA, helping to promote the state ahead of the clash.
