AFL State of Origin live scores: Western Australia and Victoria reignite historic rivalry
Any doubt about how hard players would go was quickly cast aside as WA and Victoria produced an evening to remember in their Origin battle. Follow all the action live!

AFL : It’s state against state as AFL Origin returns for the first time in more than 20 years as Western Australia and Victoria reignite a historic rivalry at Optus Stadium.
Victoria, led by Marcus Bontempelli are heavy favourites with a midfield stuffed full of premiership winners and All-Australians, including the likes of Nick Daicos, Matt Rowell and Bailey Smith.
But don’t discount Patrick Cripps and his WA counterparts who will be desperate to spring an upset in front of a parochial sell-out crowd.

Welcome
Hello and welcome to Optus Stadium as the Black Swans and Big V return for the first time in more than 20 years.
It’s a scorching 35 degrees at the moment, but conditions are predicted to cool slightly before the bouncedown.
The two sides have not met since 1992 while the last Origin clash was in 1999.
There will be plenty of star power on show and there’s been plenty of talk to suggest today could recapture the magic of Origin’s past.
We’re set for a 4:40 start so stay across all the build-up here.
