Influencer Tammy Hembrow appears to take aim at Bailey Smith with fresh claim about ‘boring’ date

It has been a tough old month for AFL superstar Bailey Smith and there appears to be a little sting in the tail, too, with millionaire influencer Tammy Hembrow doing a ‘kiss and tell’ interview.
Smith can’t stay out of headlines at the minute, and was recently slammed for his Mad Monday antics and a series of social media posts that took aim at two veteran journalists, including The Agenda Setters star Caroline Wilson.
Smith the deleted the posts but Wilson ripped into him in a scathing column, and his juvenile behaviour has been questioned by others.

Hembrow and Smith set tongues wagging in August when they were spotted kissing on the Gold Coast and walking arm-in-arm on the beach.
Rumours started to swirl, then later that month they hard-launched their relationship with a racy picture while on a dinner date in a romantic Melbourne dining spot.

So when Hembrow started talking about a recent date, while admitting she doesn’t date much, it didn’t take the imagination too long to join the football-shaped dots.
“I haven’t been on many dates until recently, really,’’ she said on the podcast, Mad About You.
And then the Smith drive-by followed.
“I never really dated. I sort of just met someone and that was that. But I did go on a date with a guy … it’s literally the only guy I went on a date with … he was just so boring,” she said.
Wow ... cop that.
She then appeared to give details about how they actually hooked up.
“If I speak to someone online or meet them online, I want to meet them face to face straight away,” she added.
“I’m not really a texter or anything like that. If you’re trying to talk to me, I need to meet you face to face.
“So we went on a date and it was just like … I was just so bored.
“He was really like lovely. I’m like super goofy and weird and hyper active and I can’t be bored.”
She said she was nervous going into the date, and wondered whether the boredom was caused by her.

“I was nervous as well,” she revealed.
“Maybe I’m boring and he’s matching my energy.”
Hembrow confirmed in June she had filed for divorce from husband Matt Zukowski after just seven months of marriage.
And she admitted it had been a difficult period but she was learning more about herself.
“(It’s been tough) especially in the beginning,’’ she said.
“Now I’m at a point where I couldn’t care less what anyone says about anything.
“I feel like in the beginning when I was navigating the breakdown of my relationship it was especially (challenging) then. People were like, she’s not wearing her ring, and I was dealing with it in the moment myself and having people comment on stuff.
“It was just a really tough space to be in. I got to a really not great place mentally.
“It’s tough, especially when it’s all people’s opinion and assumptions that aren’t necessarily true and people putting their two cents in. I’m trying to figure this out myself.”
Hembrow she was a “normal person” but sadly admitted that she was “not great at love”.
“It feels like that. I’m just like a normal person and I am just going through things that normal people would go through,” she said.
“I don’t look up my name, I don’t have google alerts.
“Occasionally a friend or someone will send me something and most of the time I’m like, just don’t. I feel like it does impact your mental health especially when it’s stuff that’s not even true, that’s literally the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.
“Pretty much all the frickin’ headlines are all completely wrong. It’s all clickbait, it’s ridiculous. I try to not look — out of sight, out of mind. I try to focus on my life. Otherwise I would be in a mental spiral. I do have a thick skin but it still does get to you.”
Hembrow said she would take things slower on her next romance and try to keep out of the public domain.
“I can get easily fooled by being love bombed,’’ she said.
“Either way I definitely want to take things slower. It’s just smart at this point, I’ve learnt my lesson. Take things a lot slower.
“I think definitely in my future dating life I will keep that a lot more private.
“I get so excited and I want to share it with everyone. I post so much of my life already and if I’m in love and this is something I’m so happy about, I want to share it. I feel like I am definitely going to be a lot more private this time going forward.
She said she learnt from her failed marriage that it was best not to “dive in head first”.
“I need to be more rational and evaluate,” she said.
