It’s West Coast’s last realistic chance for a win as they face a Melbourne team under the blowtorch after a historic loss.

Simon Goodwin could be fighting for his job while the Eagles are without Harley Reid with a loss tonight all but confirming a second wooden spoon in three seasons.

It’s a battle of the battlers but who can dig deep to give their fans something to hold on to.

Follow all the action live.

That's where we’ll leave it

Plenty of fallout to come with Andrew McQualter strong on his teams lack of effort post game.

Now our attention turns to the much better West Coast with the Fever up from 5:30.

Until then bye for now.

Match Report

Early analysis

Full Time Melbourne 21.13 (139) West Coast 8.8 (56)

Harvey Langford with a third goal to bring an end to this second half massacre.

83 points in the end after they came into half time trailing by 22 points.

Christian Salem and Max Gawn tore it up as the Eagles stunk it up.

Maric, perhaps the only bright spot as Chesser fell away in the second half. But then again so did the rest of the Eagles in a disastrous performance.

Just when you think they’ve found rock bottom they manage to dig further down.

It also locks them in for the wooden spoon not that they had any hope of avoiding it anyway.

Liam Duggan with a moment to forget

From the kick in he lasers a 20m kick straight to Christian Petracca who converts for his first goal.

There was no one else there except for the Demon, a bizarre moment and one to sum up the season for Eagles fans.

Culley has a second

He flies for a strong contested mark and gets a second on his old team.

He never won any of his 13 games with the Eagles but will get to sing a song in about 10 minutes.

Shanahan goals

West Coast are able to pressure Melbourne into a mistake at half back to keep the ball locked in.

Shanahan gets a look from directly in front and kicks his first goal.

MEL 18.11 (119) 8.6 (54)

Cripps has a second

Takes a mark on the edge of 50 and converts. Cripps always seems a find to grab a couple goals despite the Eagles struggles. ‘

Sting has gone out of this game though.

MEL 17.11 (113) WCE 7.6 (48)

Fritsch has four

Eagles continue to collapse with the ball locked into their defesnive 50.

Still Gawn and Petty fly almost uncontesd for a mark but get in the way of each other.

Fritsch is waiting for the loose ball and snaps his fourth.

MEL 17.10 (112) WCE 6.6 (42)
