It’s West Coast’s last realistic chance for a win as they face a Melbourne team under the blowtorch after a historic loss.

Simon Goodwin could be fighting for his job while the Eagles are without Harley Reid with a loss tonight all but confirming a second wooden spoon in three seasons.

It’s a battle of the battlers but who can dig deep to give their fans something to hold on to.

Follow all the action live.

More on the Ryan clash

Half Time Melbourne 6.7 (43) West Coast 3.3 (21)

A better quarter from the Eagles even though the Demons stretch the advantage.

Archer Reid missed a second shot a goal that he would’ve liked to hit but had a good quarter.

Campbell Chesser been good with 11 touches while Mraric is already up to 20 disposals.

But Max Gawn is still dominating the the Eagles seems to keep kicking it too him, they have to find a way to take him out of the queation if they’re to be any chance.

Archer Reid with a nice goal

West Coast mange to turn the ball over in their forward half and Archer Reid gets a look.

He’s kicked 4.9 this season and is goalless from his last seven games but his kick is great off the boot as the Eagles kick multiple goals in a row for the first time today.

Brockman flies

With Ryan off the ground it’s Tyler Brockman who gets up to take a nice contested mark inside 50.

His snap is good to give the Eagles just their second goal.

Liam Ryan in trouble

He clahses head as he tries to affect the kick but he looks out cold.

He eventually gets up but there’s a massive cut on his head and his day could be done.

Gawn killing them

West Coat have a couple looks inside 50 but for some reason kick it to the area Max Gawn is patrolling as he cuts if off. He’s up to six interceptions already.

Up the other end Harry Edwards gives away a push on Fritsch who kicks another from close range.

Eagles cough up another one in defence

They do the hard work to cut off the dangerous kick inside 50 but overuse the handball to run themselves into trouble.

Demons out the back go through three players as Rivers kicks one form the sqaure.

END OF Q1 Demons 3.5 (23) Eagles 1.2 (8)

Neither of these teams is very good, but the Demons can more consistently hit a target as the Eagles struggle to move the ball out of defence.

Max Gawn looks ominous early and Demons are unsurprisingly on top in the clearance battle early.

Tom Grss has been lively with seven touches but in reality only some poor kiicking in front of goal has prevented the margin from blwoing out early.

Maric kicks a goal

Bailey Fristch gives away at half back to push Ryan Maric 15m out.

Then Christian Salem gives away another 50 for encroaching on the mark to put him in the goal square and he boots it through.

Something to hold onto.
