LIVE UPDATES: Carlton Blues all over West Coast Eagles early in clash at Optus Stadium

West Coast are hunting their second win of the season as Carlton hit a wet and gloomy Optus Stadium.
Follow all the action in the live blog.
Eagles go again
West Coast have lifted in the second half and are currently winning the third term, two goals to one.
Ruckman Bailey Williams kicked his second.
Trading blows
Carlton sub Corey Durdin has kicked his first goal, and the Blues’ first of the second half, after replacing Charlie Curnow on the ground.
It comes after West Coast kicked the first of the third term, off the boot of Tyler Brockman.
Jayden Hunt has been subbed off (tactical), despite an injury concern for key defender Harry Edwards, who is back on the ground.
Potential Eagles blow?
West Coast’s horror afternoon against Carlton may be about to get worse with defender Harry Edwards taken from the field with an arm injury.
Edwards jogged into the rooms only moments into the third term with what appeared to be a shoulder injury in what could be a big blow for the Eagles.
It comes as the 24-year-old celebrates his 50th game
Curnow done for the day
Carlton star Charlie Curnow is done for the day.
The Blues forward is not warming up with the team on the other side of half time, while sub Corey Durdin is in his playing kit.
HALF TIME
West Coast ruckman Matt Flynn shanks a set shot after the siren and it remains a 46-point margin at half time.
Lachie Fogarty has three goals, Mitch McGovern and Zac Williams two, while Alex Cincotta, Charlie Curnow and Tom De Koning have one each.
Bailey Williams, Elijah Hewett and Jamie Cripps are the only goal-kickers for West Coast.
George Hewett leads all ball-winners with 21 at the main break, followed by Harley Reid and Tom McCarthy (15).
Reid in strife?
A spray elbow from Harley Reid could land the young star in hot water.
Reid was caught holding the ball by Fogarty late in the second quarter, when he appeared to throw his arm back and make contact with the Carlton forward’s face.
It could see him face scrutiny by the Match Review Officer, although Fogarty continued on without incident - except for a few choice words.
TWO IN A FLASH
West Coast have kicked consecutive goals for the first time this afternoon, with veteran Jamie Cripps and young gun Elijah Hewett hitting the scoreboard.
The Eagles still trail by seven goals but there’s a slight pulse...
Curnow concerns
Carlton star Charlie Curnow is getting assessed on the sidelines by Blues medical staff.

Blues sub Corey Durdin is warming up but still has his jumper on with just four minutes to go until half time.
Blues reach double digits
Carlton have kicked their 10th goal and we’re not far into the second term.
Alex Cincotta joined the party with his first of the afternoon. It’s a 57-point lead for the Blues.
Carlton have started the second quarter like they finished the first, kicking the opening two goals of the term.
The second, off the boot of Mitch McGovern - after he earned a free kick from an unsuspecting push from Harry Edwards.
It will be debated whether McGovern added some extra theatre for the umpires, but Edwards’ action resulted in the close-range set shot.
Edwards’ shove came after McGovern gave first-year player Bo Allan a little extra attention.
Zac Williams kicked the first of the term.
