Sam Draper and Brody Mihocek officially on the move as Gold Coast star Sam Flanders nominates St Kilda

As an unrestricted free agent, the Bombers have no right to match and Draper, 27, immediately becomes a Lion.
In return, Essendon will receive end-of-first-round compensation for Draper, which currently sits at pick 20.

Mihocek played 159 games across eight seasons in the black and white and kicked 47 goals as a key member of Collingwood’s 2023 premiership.
He will bring valuable experience to a rebuilding Demons outfit led by new coach Stephen King.

“He moves as an unrestricted free agent - with his contract expiring at the end of the this season,” McGuire said.
“He’ll be 34 at the end of his contract at Melbourne.”
The 32-year-old boasts a total of 267 career goals since making his debut for the Magpies in 2018.
“Brody has played a key role within our football program over the past eight years, and we thank him for his contribution to the black and white,” Magpies list manager Justin Leppitsch said in a club statement.“We respect Brody’s decision to pursue his free agency rights and explore opportunities at Melbourne. “We wish him, his partner, Polly, and their son Arthur all the best for this next chapter.
“As a 2023 premiership player, Brody will always be a Collingwood person.”
Mihocek leaves Collingwood after teammate Jamie Elliott turned down interest from Gold Coast to re-sign for a further two years.
Earlier on Saturday, Gold Coast midfielder Sam Flanders named St Kilda — over Melbourne and Essendon — as his preferred destination.
Channel 7’s chief AFL reporter Mitch Cleary revealed that Flanders made the call after being “wined and dined” by a “contingent” of the club’s heavyhitters.
That contingent included coach Ross Lyon, head of talent Graeme ‘Gubby’ Allan, list boss Stephen Silvagni, and star players Bradley Hill and Marcus Windhager.
The group discussed the Saints and their future at an Italian dining spot.

St Kilda promised to be bullish during the free agency and trade period and they have certainly flexed some early muscle.
Flanders’ nomination comes Carlton stars Tom De Koning and Jack Silvagni officially joined them when the free agency window opened on Friday.
The Saints are also in talks over pick swaps for West Coast forward Liam Ryan and are also in the hunt for GWS defender Leek Aleer (with future second and third-round picks possibly involved).
St Kilda has Pick 7 on the table for Flanders which would help Gold Coast unlock a move for Melbourne superstar Christian Petracca, who wants to head north.
