Sydney Swans sexual assault investigation widens as police probe secret recording of alleged victims
A new man is reportedly under investigation after a secret recording of the alleged victims was seized by police.
The police investigation into sexual assault allegations involving four Sydney Swans players has reportedly widened, with another man now under investigation over a secret recording of the alleged victims.
According to the Herald Sun, Victoria Police is investigating claims the man recorded the alleged victims without their knowledge in the days following an alleged incident at Melbourne’s Pullman Hotel on August 17.
Police have reportedly spoken to several people about the recording, which investigators seized from a Melbourne property after obtaining a search warrant.

The alleged victims are reportedly upset and angry after learning they had been recorded without their consent.
The recording is reportedly one of two seized by investigators, with the second understood to be a 20 minute account of events provided by one of the adult entertainers allegedly involved in the hotel incident.
The latest development comes as four AFL players — Isaac Heeney, Chad Warner, James Jordon and Nick Blakey — remain under investigation over sexual assault allegations relating to the August incident.

All four players have denied wrongdoing and no criminal charges have been laid.
A fifth player, Riley Bice, was initially investigated but has since been cleared of wrongdoing and is now being treated as a witness.
A decision on whether criminal charges will be laid against the four players is expected in November, following a review of the brief of evidence by the Office of Public Prosecutions.

Heeney, Warner and Jordon remain at Sydney, while Blakey has since joined North Melbourne.
The Swans previously stood down five players for the remainder of the 2026 season, stressing the disciplinary action related to breaches of the club’s behavioural standards rather than any finding of criminal wrongdoing.
The club is reportedly satisfied the players have served their internal sanctions, with Heeney, Warner, Jordon and Bice expected to be available for the opening round of the 2027 AFL season.
Victoria Police have declined to provide comment to The Nightly “as the investigation remains ongoing”.
