Tess Crosley hints at ‘understanding’ she had with Jules Neale before marriage breakdown exposed
The woman at the centre of the Neale marriage saga reveals exactly when she feared knew her life would implode, and claims she felt it was ‘like a betrayal’ by Jules.
As the countdown to Tess Crosley’s tell-all creeps closer, the woman at the centre of one of the AFL’s highest profile recent scandals has hinted at the moment she knew her life was set to implode.
In an interestingly-timed race to get each other’s truth out, Jules Neale spoke to the Pretty Sure podcast about her decision to ditch Brisbane and return home to WA, with her comments made public on Wednesday.
“I guess it was an ongoing, four-month affair with my best friend, behind my back,” she told host Adelle Petropoulos.

“I was told it was a kiss and that’s all it was.
“I actually packed up and left because of that and then when I got to Perth, it all came out and I found out that it was a lot more than that, and it had been going on for a lot longer.”
Tess is set to say her piece on Thursday afternoon in an pre-recorded interview with the Daily Mail.
Select comments from Tess have been made public ahead of time, hinting at the moment she knew her name would be made public as the woman involved.
After Jules had written on her Instagram stories that she had been betrayed “in the most unimaginable way”, Tess said she felt the finger would soon be pointed at her.
“Okay, I think this is going to go public now,” she recalled thinking.
Soon, Jules began commenting on pictures of Tess and Lachie together which remained on her IG page.
“Take these down, you idiot. You’re embarrassing yourself,” Jules wrote.

Tess supposedly felt there had been a “unanimous decision” between all parties not to expose the situation publicly.
While Tess is said to regret her actions, the mother of one reportedly felt somewhat of a “betrayal” by Jules, and said she learned there had been inside information fed to the media without her knowledge.
“Only a couple of months ago, I also learned that somebody from the parties was sending private information to the journalists,” she said.
“And that was really hard. I’d been staying silent out of respect.
“There’s so much more to this story that people don’t know, but I’m not going to bring others down just to make myself look better either.”
In recent weeks, the Brisbane midfielder has been spotted with a new flame, advertising professional Emma Field.
Jules said she learned Lachie had been seeing someone else through the media, labelling her “new on the scene”.
“Yes, so that’s a completely new person that I wasn’t aware of; I am now because of articles, but yeah, found out like everybody else,” Jules said.
