Toby Greene opens up on nightmare 2024 semi-final loss to Brisbane in Seven’s new show Unfiltered

GWS captain Toby Greene has opened up on how last year’s semi-final loss to Brisbane was literally a nightmare for him.
The Giants led by 44 points during the third term before the Lions pulled off an unlikely comeback on their way to the premiership.
It was the second straight week they gave up a healthy lead after losing to Sydney the week before and saw the Giants eliminated in straight sets.

Speaking to Hamish McLachlan on Channel 7’s new show Unfiltered, Greene said “he couldn’t comprehend how we lost that one”.
“It didn’t hurt ... I was in shock. I couldn’t believe we lost from the situation we were in,” he said.
“I’ve never had that feeling (that it was a dream) ever before in my life. Went home, stared at the TV, would have watched the soccer. Fell asleep, didn’t talk to one person. Woke up and thought ‘today’s game day, that couldn’t have happened’, but it did and that was a s*** day.”
Greene shared more details about the immediate aftermath of the game.
“I was just in shock. There wouldn’t have many words, if any, spoken for the next two hours. It was the worst change rooms I’ve ever been in by far,” he added.
