Tom Liberatore will miss the Western Bulldogs clash against St Kilda after he was placed in concussion protocols following a scary collapse in their loss to the Bombers.
Having seemingly shrugged off heavy knocks from Jake Stringer and Nick Hind Liberatore proceeded to collapse off the ball prompting concern from Bombers midfielder Darcy Parish who signalled the Bulldogs bench.
The club has now confirmed the star midfielder has been placed in concussion protocols as a precaution despite passing the concussion test.

“Tom remains without concussion symptoms this morning. However, given the concerning nature of in-game footage during the final minutes that show Tom falling to the ground, the club’s medical team has subsequently reached a decision to place him in concussion protocols.
“This decision has been taken with an abundance of caution, with Tom’s health and wellbeing the absolute priority.
“As a result, Tom will miss Thursday’s match against St Kilda and will continue to be monitored.”
The club statement comes after coach Luke Beveridge denied Liberatore had suffered a concussion saying on ABC radio he had tweaked his ankle causing him to lose balance.
“He’s fine. For some reason, he lost his footing and stumbled, but he’s fine,” Beveridge said.
“He’s being looked after and there’s no concussion or anything like that.”
