Allan Nascimento: UFC star dies in his sleep at age 34 after suspected heart attack weeks after fight
The accomplished athlete was found dead just weeks after his most recent fight.
UFC fighter Allan Nascimento has died at the age of 34 after suffering a suspected heart attack in his sleep.
In a statement, the UFC said Nascimento was found unresponsive on Monday morning after suffering a medical episode overnight.
“This morning, Monday, August 3rd, our beloved flyweight fighter, Allan Nascimento, was found unresponsive after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep,” the company said on social media.

“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Allan’s family, friends, teammates, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”
Known by the nickname “Puro Osso”, Nascimento built a reputation as one of the flyweight division’s most skilled grapplers.
The Brazilian national competed professionally in MMA since 2011 and joined the UFC in 2021, compiling a 4-2 record inside the Octagon.
He earned two Performance of the Night bonuses during his UFC tenure and finished his professional career with a reported record of 22-7.
Nascimento last fought on June 20, when he dropped a split decision to Mitch Raposo in Las Vegas.
Before that defeat, he had recorded victories over fighters including Cody Durden, Carlos Hernandez, Jafel Filho and Jake Hadley.
He trained alongside former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira, who has since paid tribute to the athlete.
“Today I lost a brother I gained through the fight game,” Oliveira said.
“Thanks for always being there, for sharing the mats and the grind, and for your words.
“I’m so grateful to have had you by my side, brother, through training, the tough times, and the good times hanging out. Love you, man, you’re a legend.”
More tributes have continued to pour in from Dustin Poirier, Henry Cejudo and Mackenzie Dern as news of Nascimento’s death rocks the mixed martial arts community.
