LeBron James’ streak of 10+ points finally comes to an end after 1,297 consecutive games
One of the most remarkable streaks in sport has come to an abrupt end.
American basketball legend LeBron James had scored at least 10 points in each of his last 1297 NBA games, a run dating back to January 2007.
But the 40-year-old managed only eight points as the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Toronto Raptors at the Scotiabank Arena on Friday morning WA time, bringing the run to a close after nearly 20 years.

One of the game’s greatest ever players was able to impact the contest in other ways, with the pass to Hachimura among his equal game-high 11 assists.
James missed the start of this season due to nerve irritation in the right side of his body but has played the Lakers’ past six games, averaging 15.2 points, 7.2 assists and four rebounds per contest in his record-breaking 23rd NBA season.
He had looked likely to come in under 10 points in his side’s most recent game against the Dallas Mavericks but managed to finish with 13.
The last time James had under 10 points was on January 5, 2007, when he was a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers. In a 95-86 win for the Cavs over Milwaukee, he shot 3-for-13 from the floor in 42 minutes, finishing with eight points.
Since that game, he has scored exactly 10 points seven times, from 2007 to 2025.
