Australia took 15 wickets inside two sessions in a record-breaking performance in the first Test at Galle.

Key Events
Sri Lanka getting rock and rolled
Another one for Kuhnemann as Jayasuriya comes down the track and misses the ball by a mile and is stumped by some distance that it’s almost a run out.
The hosts have lost three for spit this morning.
Lyon gets the big fish!
Just the second time Lyon has taken Chandimal’s wicket in Test cricket.
He went for the reverse sweep but it goes under the bat as Chandimal reviews in hope more than anything.
Ball tracking confirms it’s smashing into off-stump and Sri Lanka are firmly in the mud now with only tail enders to come.
Aussies into the tail.
Jayasuriya walks out to bat having bowled more than 50 overs in Sri Lanka’s long innings in the field averaging less than nine in Test cricket.
Kuhnemann beats his outside edge twice with some sharp turn.
MENDIS FALLS!
Sri Lankan batters the orchestrators of their own demise once again.
Kusal Mendis goes for the slog sweep against Kuhnemann but the ball bounces to catch the top edge as Todd Murphy runs around to complete a good catch at mid-wicket.
No need for that shot but to Steve Smith’s credit he set the field for that plan and Australia have their early breakthrough.
No concerns so far
This is Sri Lanka’s last recognised batting pair but they are doing it comfortably at the moment using their sweeps to keep the scoreboard ticking over.
There has been spin this morning but it’s been slow allowing the batters plenty of time to adjust.
SL 5/154
At the MCG
In case you missed it earlier Beth Mooney brought up her maiden 100 in Test becoming the first Aussie woman to score hundreds in all three formats.
England had a great morning taking 5/18 to clean up Australia with Sophie Ecclestone finishing with five wickets.
However they trail by a massive 270 runs and face a huge task to avoid an embarrassing white wash.
We’re underway
An earlier start today because of the time lost yesterday.
Kuhnemann opens up to Chandimal who looms as the main man for Sri Lanka resuming on 63.
He gets a single before the spinner finds some turn and bounce as Mendis leaves the final ball.
Welcome
Hello and welcome to day four and Galle where the good news is we will have some cricket with the skies clear and player in the middle.
The bad news is there’s more rain forecast for later today as Australia hope to keep their foot on the throat of Sri Lanka.
