Marsh to welcome Inglis
As Inglis prepares to become Test cap 470 he will be welcomed by a fellow West Australian with Geoff Marsh on hand to hand him his baggy green.
It’s not the first time Marsh has handed out a baggy green in Sri Lanka after he presented his son Shaun with one in 2011.
Australia won that tour so perhaps it could be a good omen.
The Aussie XI
While it looks like the batting order has been settled Australia has been playing their cards close to their chest over their bowling attack.
Steve Smith hinted they would leave it until the last moment to get a feel for the pitch.
However, it looks like Todd Murphy will get the nod over Scott Boland with Mitchell Starc the sole quick.
Tough for Boland who really can’t do more to keep himself in the side but the Aussies are preparing for a dustbowl.
Welcome
Good Morning and welcome as Australia gears up for its first Test in Galle against Sri Lanka.
Australia has not won a Test series in Sri Lanka since 2011, when Nathan Lyon made a famous debut.
They have already made one big call this morning with Josh Inglis confirmed to make his Test debut with Sam Konstas forced out by Head moving up the order.
