The 19 maximums betters the previous record of 18, set by West Indies legend Chris Gayle in 2017. Estonia’s Sahil Chauhan also hit 18 in a T20 clash against Cyprus last year.
Allen, who played for the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League last season, needed just 20 balls to bring up his half century.

He reached triple figures off just 34 balls as the boundaries kept flowing, including a ridiculous three consecutive sixes off the bowling of compatriot Glenn Phillips.
After smashing the record-breaking 19th six in the 17th over, his innings came to an end two balls later when he was caught by Phillips.
The brilliant knock was also the fastest century in the short history of Major League Cricket.
Aussie blaster Jake Fraser-McGurk briefly joined Allen at the crease, but made just six off nine balls before he was dismissed.
Hassan Khan (38) and Sanjay Krishnamurthi (36) also made valuable contributions as the Unicorns reached an imposing 5-269.
In reply, the Freedom reached 80 without loss from just five overs, but any hopes of a miraculous run chase were quickly put to bed as wickets began to fall.
Rachin Ravindra (42) fell in the sixth over, which sparked a batting collapse.
Aussie opener Mitchell Owen (39) was run out and skipper Maxwell (five) soon followed when he was trapped lbw.
The Freedom lost another five wickets by the 10th over before they were eventually all out for 146.
