Big Bash player Joel Davies reported for sex-themed gesture during wicket celebration

The act has not gone down well with Cricket NSW who are set to take action.

Big Bash cricketer Joel Davies is facing sanction after giving an opponent a sexually suggestive send-off during a grade cricket match.

Davies simulated a sex act after taking a wicket for Manly against Sydney University on Sunday.

The gesture did not sit well with the Sydney University team. Although the umpires did not report the incident at the time, Davies was later reported by Cricket NSW after they reviewed the footage.

Davies made his Big Bash debut for the Sydney Thunder during the 2022–23 season and has played for the Sydney Sixers over the past two summers, featuring in three games.
