How to watch and stream the Ashes

The second Test in Brisbane begins on Thursday, December 4 and is scheduled to run through to Monday, December 8. Seven’s coverage kicks off at 2pm AEDT on day one ahead of the first ball at 3pm AEDT.

Channel 7 cricket commentators

Seven has brought together some of the biggest names in world cricket, led by stars from both sides of the divide: Ricky Ponting and Stuart Broad.

Former England international turned popular commentator David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd also joins the team from the third Test in Adelaide.

Ex-Australian coach Justin Langer and opening batsman Matthew Hayden both return alongside Greg Blewett, Simon Katich, Trent Copeland, Aaron Finch and Damien Fleming.

Mel McLaughlin will host the broadcast alongside James Brayshaw, who joins Tim Lane, Alison Mitchell and Alister Nicholson on calling duties through the series.

Five-time ICC Umpire of the Year Simon Taufel returns to offer his perspective while respected journalists Peter Lalor and Bharat Sundaresan will be on deck to report on the biggest breaking news.

Unfiltered joins cricket slate

After debuting in the AFL season, Unfiltered returns to Seven for the summer of cricket as Hamish McLachlan sits down for five special interviews with some of the sport’s biggest names.

The first edition featuring Alex Carey is available on demand on 7plus Sport.

The second episode featuring Glenn Maxwell will air straight after stumps on day two (Friday, December 5) of the second Test.

The remaining three episodes will feature Ricky Ponting, Meg Lanning and Jackson Warne.

The Spin returns from December 4 with Jason Richardson leading a rotating cast of Channel 7 stars — including Lisa Sthalekar, Brad Hodge, Will Pucovski, Jason Behrendorff, Damien Fleming, Aaron Finch and more — to dissect and analyse the biggest stories from the summer of cricket.
