India lead Australia by 145 runs with four wickets remaining ahead of day three of the SCG Test.

After 15 wickets fell on day two, with the visitors bowling the hosts out four runs shy of their first-innings total, Ravindra Jadeja (8*) and Washington Sundar (4*) will return to the crease at 6-141.

India need to win the fifth Test to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, with Australia holding a 2-1 lead in the series.

An injury cloud over star quick Jasprit Bumrah will make that more difficult, with the visitors yet to confirm if the stand-in captain will bat but more importantly bowl after he left the SCG to get scans on a back injury.

Follow all the action in our live blog.

Bumrah padded up

The Indian captain will bat which is no real surprise given any run is vital.

However he didn’t bowl in the warm-up.

Boland catches Sundar’s edge but it falls short of slip.

Here we go

Pat Cummins to kick things off on day three with Jadeja on strike.

He drops and runs a quick single into the off-side.

Sundar almost chips one to Sam Konstas at square leg but it drops just short before he turns a single into the leg-side

Jasprit Bumrah news

The Indian superstar left for scans yesterday after experiencing back spasms.

He is at the ground this morning but hasn’t done anything in the warm-ups and we still have no word if he will bowl in thesecond-innings.

Good Morning

Hello and welcome to what will likely be the last day of what has been an enthralling Border-Gavaskar series.

India will resume at 6/141 with Australia desperate to keep their lead under 200 if they’re nay chance to chase it down on what remains a tricky SCG surface.

Win and Australia win the Trophy for the first time in more than a decade and book their spot in the World Test Championship final.

However, India can deny them at the last once again and keep their own Championship hopes alive.
