Amazing scenes

“It’s a great moment for me, my nation and my people,” well-deserved Player of the Match Gulbadin Naib says.

There’s scenes of jubilation among the players and small pockets of fans in the Caribbean. What a result!

Superb upset

That’s a brilliant win from the underdogs.

A disciplined opening stand was followed by a destructive effort with the ball. It was apparent early in the chase that the Aussies were in a spot of bother, and even with Maxwell looming large as always, regular wickets kept Afghanistan with their noses in front for much of it.

An outstanding showing that has set the cat among the pigeons at this tournament!

ALL OVER!

It’s a 21-run win in stunning style!!

24 needed from 6

Every run is crucial, even if victory is gone for Australia, due to the net run rate battle.

Even with a loss to India, the Aussies can sneak through if Bangladesh beat Afghanistan and net run rate goes their way...

FOUR!

Zampa slices one down to third. 28 needed off 8

Bleak

32 needed off 10. It’s academic now...

Dried up

The Aussies haven’t found a boundary since the 14th over - and they need plenty of them from Hazlewood and Zampa now.

34 off 13 needed, and struggling to get bat on ball
