Michael Schumacher’s family celebrates ‘magical’ milestone as daughter Gina marries partner Iain

The family of Formula One legend Michael Schumacher has celebrated a major milestone, with daughter Gina marrying her partner Iain Bethke.

The wedding is said to have taken place at the Spanish villa bought by the family in 2017.

It is unclear if Schumacher, who has not been seen in public since suffering serious injuries in a skiing accident in 2013, was involved in the day.

Previous reports have claimed Schumacher was relocated to live at the multimillion-dollar residence.

The wedding was, however, reportedly top secret — to the extent that phones were confiscated on arrival.

The ceremony itself was also said to have been preceded by a party on the Friday where guests were all told to wear white.

Gina, 27, and Iain have been in a relationship for more than seven years.

“Forever yes to you, yes to forever,” Gina wrote, with a photo from the big day.

Younger brother Mick wrote: “I’m so happy for you two.”

Schumacher’s brother and fellow ex-F1 driver Ralf was at the wedding with his partner Etienne.

“We had a wonderful time in Mallorca, the sunsets and the atmosphere were magical,” the couple wrote.

While Mick followed in the footsteps of his dad and uncle to become a racing driver, Gina entered the world of horse riding.

She regularly competes in shows around the United States and Europe.

Gina shares memories of her father on his birthday each January.

“Happy birthday Papa! Throwback to one of many of our adventures,” she wrote this year, sharing a photo of herself with Mick and Michael before a skydive.

Last year’s post included the trademark hashtag #keepfighting.

Schumacher’s health remains a closely guarded secret more than 10 years on from his accident on a family skiing holiday.
