NRL grand final recap: Reece Walsh dominates epic decider as Brisbane come back to beat Melbourne

Brisbane are the 2025 NRL premiers after one of the greatest grand finals we’ve ever seen.
Reece Walsh was the star of the night, winning the Clive Churchill Medal, as the Broncos came back from 10 points down at half time.

The Storm say they will do their best to treat it, but don’t expect him to get back out there.

After back-to-back six agains, Melbourne have scored again.
They’re too good to be gifted the chance to complete three full sets.
But the inexorable Storm didn’t even need the full set, with Eliesa Katoa going over after tackle one.
Melbourne bites back

The Storm have hit back straight away after Nick Meaney was the beneficiary of a perfect set play.
“That’s just Melbourne Storm, absolutely perfect,” Andrew Johns said.
Meaney converted his own try and the scores are level again.

Reece Walsh bounced off a tackle and offloaded a pass to Deine Mariner, who flirted with the dead ball line before scoring the opening try.
Adam Reynolds converted the try and the Broncos have the perfect start.
