The Brisbane Broncos will hold “conversations” with Reece Walsh after the superstar fullback shared footage of him punching a willing mate in the head.
Walsh, 22, posted the video to his own TikTok account.

Walsh was smiling throughout and laughter followed the punch that sent the man crashing to the floor and holding his head.
The video was later deleted and Walsh shared an image to Instagram to explain the situation.
“Just to add context to the video recently posted — it was a joke with me best mate,” he wrote.
“No one was harmed, boys being boys.”
But the situation has not flown with the Broncos, with chief executive Dave Donaghy to personally discuss the issue with Walsh as early as possible on Wednesday amid speculation of a possible fine.

“It’s one of those things. What I don’t understand is why, maybe I’m just a different generation, why we need to post these things,” Donaghy told 4BC.
“But as I say, we’ll have that conversation with Reece internally and deal with it in-house.
“They’re always the conversations we have internally.
“We’re dealing with young men that have a significant following. So, look, it’s certainly, without a doubt, not ideal.
“Again, I’ve only briefly seen it, but we’ll have that conversation internally and deal with it, step it through with Reece.”
The NRL has been intertwined with the sport of boxing in recent years, with some players and ex-players moving into the professional ranks.
But Donaghy has clearly taken a dim view of landing a blow on a person, even one who is a friend, and then sharing the footage amid rugby league’s ongoing concerns about concussion.
Walsh suffered a high-profile head knock just minutes into the State of Origin opener last year.
He is currently sidelined with a knee injury while the Broncos are battling through a tough run of form.
The CEO’s radio interview coincided with Walsh explaining himself further to media.
“Just having a laugh with my mate,” the fullback said.
“You know we don’t support violence and stuff like that. But obviously it’s not a good look for myself and that was all trying to have a laugh and a good time with friends ... (we) probably went a bit too far.”
Brisbane last week released veteran forward Martin Taupau with immediate effect after he liked an ex-NRL player’s post criticising coach Michael Maguire’s training methods.
Taupau then retracted the like and apologised for his actions.
“I regret this as it was not my intention to endorse the video. I removed the like immediately after,” he wrote.
“I want to make it clear. I am thoroughly enjoying being coached by coach Michael Maguire and will continue to do whatever I can to help the Broncos win a premiership in 2025.”
Taupau was out within days and Maguire opted not to comment directly on the Instagram saga.
