Susie Bradley has broken her silence on her separation from former NRL star Todd Carney, revealing the couple’s marriage ended after what she described as a “betrayal,” just months after they welcomed their second child together.

The former Married At First Sight bride addressed the breakdown of her relationship in an emotional video on Instagram shared with followers, saying she wanted to explain the situation herself rather than continue answering questions about the split.

“I’ve separated due to. . .there was a betrayal and now our differences are irreconcilable,” Bradley said.

The 33-year-old did not reveal details about the alleged betrayal, but described the separation as a painful experience and said she was focused on moving forward.

“It’s a s***y situation, but it is what it is,” she said.

Bradley’s comments come only five months after she and Carney welcomed their second son, King, who was born in February.

In her video, Bradley admitted she was struggling with the end of her marriage but said speaking publicly about her emotions had helped her process the loss.

“I’ve never experienced the loss of a marriage before,” she said.

The former reality TV star said she hoped people could be more understanding towards couples going through separations, adding that the experience was already difficult enough.

The pair’s relationship first began after Bradley appeared on MAFS in 2019. Carney proposed in 2020 during Bradley’s pregnancy with their first child, before the pair briefly split in 2022 and later reconciled.

They announced their engagement again in 2024 before tying the knot at their Gold Coast Hinterland home in January 2025.

Last month, Bradley hinted that something had changed in her personal life, telling followers that “life has changed in ways I never saw coming” and announcing she would temporarily close her aesthetics clinic to spend time with family and focus on herself.

Bradley shared another user’s video on Monday night titled: “The wrong man will make you ugly,” with a woman talking about how celibacy isn’t hard.

“What part of men who are addicted to gaming, alcohol, drugs, sports teams is so attractive?” she asked.

“What part is so hard to avoid?”

Carney, 39, is a former NRL star who won the Dally M Medal, awarded to the league’s MVP, in 2010.

He represented Australia and NSW during his career and played for three clubs, the Canberra Raiders, Sydney Roosters and Cronulla Sharks, throughout the 2000s and 2010s.

Bradley rose to fame after appearing on season six of reality TV show Married At First Sight.

She previously revealed their youngest child was conceived through IVF, sharing: “With a little bit of perseverance and a whole lotta love, we finally got you.”
