Olympic hero Jess Fox dazzles in ‘dream come true’ career move

Australian Olympic hero Jess Fox has set tongues wagging after announcing she has joined French beauty giant L’Oreal Paris and is about to hit the catwalk.

Along with a series of stunning photos on Instagram, Fox made the eye-catching announcement, saying it was a “a dream come true to be joining the L’Oréal Paris Australia & New Zealand family”.

“Super excited to walk the L’Oréal Paris runway in Sydney on 24 October, celebrating sisterhood, empowerment, and self-worth,” Fox said.

Fox is taking part in the Walk Your Worth Runway, and she said it was “more than just putting on lipstick”.

“It’s about owning my confidence, even when doubt creeps in. It’s about chasing what excites and challenges me, no matter the fear. I won’t let doubt hold me back, because I’m worth it,” she said.

“Here’s your reminder to take a breath, stand tall, and own who you are.“

Then, with a nod to the L’Oreal catchphrase, she added: “Don’t listen to the doubt. You’re worth it too✨💋.”

Friends, fans and some of Australia’s most famous sports people were immediately impressed with Fox’s transformation ... from queen of the canoe to catwalk ready.

Matildas superstar Mary Fowler said: “Look at her shining 😍😍.”

While a fan said: “The scary thing about you is the distinct sense that you’re just getting started 💪💪💪.”

Aussie swimming legend Steph rice said: “Get it girl 🔥❤.”

Other stars joining Fox on the catwalk are television identity Jessica Rowe, Paralympian Ellie Cole, actor Madeleine Madden, and entrepreneur and model Riley Hemson.

The French-born Fox is a three-time Olympic gold medallist and 14-time canoe slalom world champion.

She made her Olympic debut in 2012 and was the opening ceremony flag bearer in the Paris Olympics.
