A girl of 13 screamed ‘I’m going to f****** kill you’ before stabbing two teachers and a classmate with her father’s fishing knife, a court heard yesterday.

The teenager had ‘sinister eyes’ as she pulled the blade out of her pocket at mid-morning break, later telling police it was ‘one way to be a celebrity’, a jury was told.

She stabbed Fiona Elias, 48, and colleague Liz Hopkin, 53, who tried to intervene, as well as a female pupil, before being disarmed by male teachers.

All three victims needed hospital treatment after the attack at Amman Valley School in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, on April 24.

The girl – now 14 – told police she was ‘pretty sure this is going to be on the news’, Swansea Crown Court heard.

She added: ‘That’s one way to be a celebrity.’ The girl – who cannot be named due to her age – was searched daily by her father and school staff after previously smuggling a knife into lessons, jurors were told.

But on the morning of the attack, she took her father’s fishing multi-tool to school.

She has pleaded guilty to three counts of wounding with intent, but denies three counts of attempted murder.

Prosecutor William Hughes KC said: ‘She was heard saying “I’m going to kill you, I’m going to f****** kill you”.’ The trial continues.
