The family of Virginia Roberts Giuffre has broken its silence following the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
In a statement, Giuffre’s siblings described the development as long overdue.
“At last, today, our broken hearts have been lifted at the news that no one is above the law, not even royalty,” Giuffre’s siblings said.

“On behalf of our sister, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, we extend our gratitude to the UK’s Thames Valley Police for their investigation and arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.”
In one of the statement’s most pointed lines, the family added: “He was never a prince. For survivors everywhere, Virginia did this for you.”
Giuffre had previously alleged she was trafficked by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein to have sex with Andrew on three occasions, twice when she was 17.
Andrew has consistently denied wrongdoing in relation to Epstein and the allegations made by Giuffre. In 2022, he reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre to resolve her civil sexual assault lawsuit.
Giuffre, who later moved to Perth, died by suicide last year at the age of 41.
The statement marks the first public response from her family since Andrew’s arrest, positioning the development as a moment of accountability beyond the royal household.
