Bali mini bus crash: Five Chinese tourists killed after vehicle plunges into ravine

Five tourists have been killed in Bali after the mini bus they were travelling in plunged into a ravine.
The Chinese passengers were heading to the region of Buleleng in the northern part of Bali when the driver lost control of the vehicle, killing five and injuring another 13.
Local police head Widwan Sutadi said the driver was trying to avoid a collision with another vehicle when it crashed into the ravine.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.“As the driver was unable to control the vehicle, he swerved it to the left to crash into a tree and try to avoid a collision (with another car) but the minibus was thrown off and plunged into the shallow ravine,” Mr Sutadi told Reuters.
“Due to the driver’s lack of caution when turning and descending, he veered off the asphalt road and into a community garden, causing a traffic accident.”
The group was rushed to hospital where five of them died. The driver was injured but survived the fatal crash.
