The case of an accused teenage school shooter charged with killing four people during a 2024 rampage faces further delays as his mental health evaluations continue.

Colt Gray, who was just 14 at the time of the alleged spree at Apalachee High School, appeared before a Georgia judge on Tuesday afternoon.

The now-15-year-old faces 55 criminal counts, including malice murder, felony murder, aggravated murder and child cruelty in connection to the September 2024 attack.

Two teachers and two students were killed after Gray allegedly used a semiautomatic rifle in the school shooting.

His father Colin Gray has also been charged with providing the weapon.

Tuesday afternoon’s status hearing looked mainly into Gray’s psychological evaluation, which remains incomplete despite having hindered the case for months now, according to news site Fox 5.

However, Gray’s legal team now has set February as the completion date for that evaluation.

“We are still waiting for that evaluation to be completed, which will assist in determining what additional motions need to be filed so that we can dictate what path this case needs to take based on potential findings of additional motions,” defence attorney Aisha Broderick told the court.

She also told the court that medical records that had been previously subpoenaed from the Department of Juvenile Justice would be released to the defence.

Ms Broderick is the third attorney to represent the teenager since he was indicted in October 2024.
