In a fresh humiliation for disgraced former prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, his daughters have opted out of spending Christmas with him and instead joined the rest of the royal family at Sandringham.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, showed their loyalty to The Firm by attending the family’s annual church service amid the disturbing Epstein scandal.

Princess Beatrice, and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and Princess Eugenie, and her partner Jack Brooksbank, were seen walking alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the rest of the royal family to the Mary Magdalene Church on Sandringham Estate.

Hundreds of royal fans flocked to catch a glimpse of the family as they headed into the service, but Beatrice and Eugenie didn’t stop to chat and simply wished visitors a “Happy Christmas”.

Meanwhile, their parents - Mr Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson - spent Christmas miles away at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.

It was their last Christmas at the $60 million property after Mr Mountbatten-Windsor was ordered to hand back the lease and is set to spend the rest of his days in exile at the King’s Sandringham Estate.

The pair had invited their two daughters to spend their last Christmas at the mansion with them, but both declined the invitation.

The eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice, told The Sun she was planning to spend Christmas overseas with her husband to “avoid embarrassment” over the shock revelations about her father’s ties to convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

A friend of hers said “Beatrice had planned to go skiing and avoid being seen taking sides. But after speaking to her sister she decided to go to accept an invite to Sandringham.”

The disgraced prince was spotted driving alone in Windsor just hours after the royal family had gathered together for their Christmas church service.

The royals have moved to distance themselves from Mr Mountbatten-Windsor amid the unfolding scandal surrounding the Epstein files.

One of the more damning photos shows Mr Mountbatten-Windsor sprawled over the laps of women with Espteins’ ex girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell standing behind.

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) released thousands of documents related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein - Ghislaine Maxwell is seen watching Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor lying across the laps of several women whose identities have been protected.

It has been claimed that the photo was taken after a sex and drug fuelled party at the Sandringham Estate, which is said to have been Queen Elizabeth II’s favoured private estate.

Despite the former prince denying any wrongdoing related to the convicted paedophile, he features in more than 13,000 of the files released last week.

His connection to Epstein is what got him stripped of his royal titles two months ago.

An insider told The Sun: “With everything that’s gone on he’s very much like the Grinch. It’s clear this year that festive cheer is in short supply.”
