Brazilian woman almost plunges to her death after dangling from Ferris wheel 30 metres above ground

A Brazilian woman has miraculously walked away unharmed after almost plunging 30 metres to her death at a local carnival.
In horrifying footage, the woman can be seen clinging onto the metal frame of the carriage for dear life as her legs dangle below.
Onlookers at the Mandirituba Carnival were left gobsmacked after the ride completed an entire rotation before the ride-goer was rescued.

It was initially suspected that a safety restraint had malfunctioned, causing the woman to slide from her seat.
However, it was later revealed that the woman opened the safety barrier herself after believing the ride had ended.
As she stepped forward to disembark the ride, it lunged forward leaving her holding onto the railings to stop herself from falling.
“The technical team immediately identified the situation and operated the equipment so that the cabin slowly lowered to the ground, allowing the passenger to be safely removed,” a spokesperson from the Mandirituba City Hall said in a statement.
While understandably shaken from the terrifying ordeal, the woman somehow walked away physically unharmed.
