F1 ace Gerhard Berger’s Ferrari Testarossa recovered 29 years after it was stolen
When a thief stole Gerhard Berger’s Ferrari F 12M Testarossa at a Grand Prix nearly 29 years ago, even the F1 ace wasn’t quick enough to catch them.
But now the retired Austrian legend can finally drive it again after Scotland Yard located the £350,000 ($A682,000) supercar.
The red Ferrari was last seen on April 28, 1995 – two days before Berger was due to race in the San Marino Grand Prix in Imola, Italy.

In January this year, Ferrari told the Met Police it was suspicious about a model that had been transported to Britain. It was due to be shipped to a US buyer but police began a probe involving car dealers worldwide.
UK Police Constable Mike Pilbeam said: “Collaboration was instrumental in understanding the vehicle’s background and stopping it from leaving the country.”
