Halifax Walmart death: Teen found dead inside walk-in oven at major supermarket
A supermarket worker has made a grim discovery, locating the body of her 19-year-old colleague inside a walk-in oven of a major supermarket.
The body was found on Saturday at a Walmart in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, with police quickly called to the scene.
Officers confirmed the death of the female teen on arrival and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the disturbing incident.

A stop-work order was issued for the bakery section of the store as well as other equipment in the store.
The Walmart in Halifax is closed “until further notice” a spokesperson for the chain confirmed.
“We are heartbroken, and our deepest thoughts are with our associate and their family,” a Walmart statement said.
“Our focus remains on taking care of our associates and making sure they have the support they need.”
The woman is understood to be part of the local Sikh society, according to a spokesperson.
“The community has been shocked by the whole incident,” Harjit Seyan told Global News.
“The immediate family is absolutely shocked. They are in a kind of trauma. We are really sorry to hear of such a tragic event.”
Many supermarkets and commercial bakeries use walk-in ovens. The ovens are usually fitted with safety devices and release valves to prevent accidents.
