‘We will make your mothers mourn you’: Grim warning to Iranian protesters

A “hard-line” presenter has warned protesters against the Iranian regime on national state television, AP is reporting.

Reza Mollaei, host of the Samt-e Khoda (‘Towards God’) show, said regime supporters are “waiting, when the dust of this unrest settles. . .(to grab) you by the collar, every single one” of the widespread protesters rallying against the regime.

““Confiscating your properties in nothing, we will make your mothers mourn you,” Mollaei said.

“Those of you who now have foolish ideas and think things are chaotic and something must be done, this message is for you, both inside the country and outside.”

Iranian footballer ‘threatened’ before backtracking on Australian asylum: Activist

The Iranian footballer who decided to leave Australia after being offered asylum was “threatened” with her family’s safety, human rights advocate Tina Kordrostami says.

After the Iranian team refused to sing the country’s national anthem at a football match last week, Ms Kordrostami says backlash from the regime was swift.

“They started being intimidated, their families back home were being detained, and their phones started being taken away from them,” Ms Kordrostami told Skye News.

“The only decision they have made freely was to remain silent during that national anthem.”

Footage shows Iran team handlers after women fled

Chilling footage has emerged showing Iranian team officials racing through a Gold Coast hotel stairwell after discovering several members of the country’s women’s football team had fled in a bid to seek asylum in Australia.

The players were competing in the Women’s Asia Cup when five footballers slipped away from their hotel on Monday night, escaping through an underground car park.

Video shared online shows Iranian security agents and team officials running down a stairwell, apparently attempting to track the players down, while a supporter follows them filming the confrontation.

“This is Australia now, you are in Australia motherf*****, you are in Australia,” she says in the footage, repeatedly referring to them as IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps).

“You better run, we are gonna get you now, you better run, you have no rights here.”
