The 15-year-old was found guilty of murder and detained for life in October last year, with a minimum term of 16 years behind bars.

Since her son’s death, Caroline Willgoose has become an activist, raising awareness of knife crime across the UK.
She has been the recipient of countless anonymous messages calling for her son’s murderer to be released, some of which she alleges are coming from Khan himself, The Sun reported.
The teenager reportedly has access to a mobile phone in prison and regularly posts on an Instagram account.

Ms Willgoose said she gets “3Umar” messages, shorthand for “Free Umar”, a phrase the teenager uses on his own account.
“I worry he has trolled me,” she said.
“I get trolls all the time saying I need to move on and this is yesterday’s news.
“I get a lot of messages saying ‘3Umar’ and it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s done that to me.”
The now-16-year-old reportedly shared details on his account about trouble inside the facility where he is being held.

“My bredrin (friend) smacked u (sic) up in education, don’t ever come on my comments giving verbal,” he wrote.
The activist said she was appalled that her son’s murderer had access to social media.
“The fact he’s got a mobile and is on social media is appalling,” Ms Willgoose told The Sun.“It’s scary he’s got access and is probably watching what I’m doing.”
The outlet wrote that the Ministry of Justice was investigating the account.
