Dr Michael Mosley: Widow Dr Clare Bailey opens up on ‘overwhelming’ grief after TV star’s death
The widow of Dr Michael Mosley last night opened up about her “overwhelming” grief after the death of her husband on the Greek island of Symi.
Speaking ahead of a series of BBC programmes today that will honour the Mail columnist and health guru, Dr Clare Bailey said her partner of 37 years continues to be “present through the lives that he touched”
Dr Mosley vanished after going for a walk on Symi last month.

An inquest found he had died of natural causes and most likely collapsed due to the punishing heat.
Programmes scheduled to run across BBC One and BBC radio today will encourage listeners and viewers to do “just one thing” to improve their wellbeing. Dr Bailey, who has four children with Dr Mosley, will also appear at 7.30 on this morning’s edition of the Today programme on Radio 4.
In a statement, Dr Bailey said: “We are trying to put our lives back together without Michael and it’s very hard... The extraordinary outpouring of grief and gratitude for Michael and how he has changed so many lives is very moving.”
“We sincerely hope that we can continue to share his positive message going forward. Because while we are learning to live without Michael, he is ever present through the lives that he touched and the difference he made.
“The BBC’s celebration of Michael’s life tomorrow with Just One Thing Day is wonderful. A day dedicated to the impact he had on people’s lives and to celebrate his legacy... It’s humbling and delightful. We are so grateful.”
