New York: Man set on fire at Times Square leaving him badly burnt, police hunt suspect

A man has been left badly burnt after being set on fire in a horrifying attack in the centre of New York.
It is understood that the attacker exited a club near the corner of West 41st Street and Broadway in Manhattan, before he grabbed an object that contained flammable liquid from a food stall.
The man is then said to have used the accelerant to torch the victim.

One onlooker told the New York Post that the 45-year-old man ran on fire for around 30 meters before someone used an extinguisher to stop the fire.
Video emerged on social media shortly after the incident showing the man burnt and in pain.
Dozens of emergency services surrounded the man as the covered him in blankets and helped him into an ambulance.
A woman, believed to be known to the victim, was seen talking to police before the man was taken to hospital.
Police say they are still searching for the attacker.
