Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor might be spending Christmas alone this year, after his daughter has opted out of spending Christmas with him to instead enjoy the holidays abroad.

The shock revelation comes barely months after he was stripped of his official royal titles over his links to the Epstein scandal.

Princess Beatrice, 37, has decided to spend Christmas overseas with her husband, Edo Mapelli Mozzi, to “avoid embarrassment”, according to The Sun.

She was invited to join Mr Mountbatten-Windsor and his former wife, Sarah Ferguson, for their last Christmas at the Windsor mansion before being evicted.

It is understood that the princess also received an invite to spend Christmas with King Charles and the rest of the royals at Sandringham Estate.

A friend has said “Beatrice doesn’t want to cause any embarrassment and was torn between loyalty to the King and her parents.”

It is unknown where Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s youngest daughter, 35-year-old Princess Eugenie, will spend Christmas this year, although she is expected to spend it with her husband, Jack Brooksbank.

The two sisters reportedly went to the pre-Christmas family lunch at Buckingham Palace.

The devastating blow comes after more Jeffrey Epstein files were released by US officials.

One of the more damning photos shows Mr Mountbatten-Windsor sprawled over the laps of women with Ghislaine Maxwell standing behind.

It has been claimed that the photo was taken after a sex and drug fuelled party at the Sandringham Estate, which is said to have been Queen Elizabeth II’s favoured private estate.

Despite the former Prince denying any wrongdoing related to the convicted paedophile, he features in more than 13,000 of the files released on Friday.

His connection to Epstein is what got him stripped of his royal titles not even two months ago.

An insider told The Sun: “With everything that’s gone, on he’s very much like the Grinch. It’s clear this year that festive cheer is in short supply.”

It’s understood to have been it’s the first time in 20 years Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has not decorated the outside of the Royal Lodge for Christmas.
