Meghan Markle has trademarked her lifestyle brand 'As Ever' for launch in Australia, with products including jam and flower sprinkles described as fancy goods.

Flirty messages about boozy weekends, “smooches” and “movie snuggles” between Prince Harry and a young female reporter have been exposed.

The series of eye-opening Facebook exchanges between the Duke of Sussex and Mail on Sunday reporter Charlotte Griffiths emerged on Tuesday as his High Court case against Associated Newspapers Limited, publisher of the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday drew to a close.

Calling her “sugar” and signing off with a flirty “mwah” and strings of kisses, the messages suggest Harry had a closer relationship with Griffiths than previously acknowledged.

And, this is at odds with his claim in court in January that he had only met her once at a party and cut off contact the next day when he found out she was a journalist.

The newly released messages show their relationship went for longer than the royal previously admitted.

Prince Harry’s boozy weekend

Griffiths told the court Prince Harry “friended” her on Facebook in 2011, when she was the publication’s deputy diary editor, sending her his mobile phone number.

They attended an all-night party the following June and messaged each other the next morning, The Telegraph reports.

Harry sent the first message in December 4, 2011, writing “It’s H,incase u were confused by name and picture!!! X.”

Griffiths replied: “Hello Mr Mischief… Did you get home OK slash did you actually find your car and did you beat Arthur down the motorway more importantly?!” she continued “What a fun weekend of naughtiness – can’t we all get up to no good in the countryside every weeked damn it?? Smooches, CG String. Xxx”

The Prince responded, writing it had been “without doubt the best of those weekends I’ve been to”.

“What a crowd. Never laughed so much in 24hrs!! Mr mischief? How do I get that title ... l was surely no worse than anyone else!!”

He then said he had “serious withdraw symptoms still” but had been forced to “make polite conversation with strange people at a dinner last night.begging them for money for charity! Really fun.not.”

He then asked after Griffiths, writing “Hope work isn’t too dull wherever u are?!”

Ten days later on December 15 Harry messaged Griffiths again, telling her she had “missed a good party last night”.

‘Movie snuggles’

Then, on January 22, 2012, Griffiths messaged Harry, calling him “H bomb” and writing “We missed you so much at Arthur’s last week.”

In return, he wrote “I WISH I was there sugar but unfortunately stuck in Cornwall doing Army stuff :( Otherwise I would have been there playing and then drinking u under the table, obvi!!”

“Just wish I could have been there ... especially now that you’re there! Dou ever work?!!.... Hope you’re really well Griff ... Miss our movie snuggles!! I’m off comms all week incase u think I’m being rude, keep me posted xxx xxx xxx”.

Griffiths told the court that in June 2012, she and the prince had attended the same house party, thrown by film producer Arthur Landon, one of the Prince’s closest friends. It was the night before he had to attend a Trooping the Colour event.

Phone records show there was a call between the Duke and Griffiths at 2.50am and three text messages exchanged between them the next morning, The Telegraph reports.

Prince Harry cuts off contact

Prince Harry told the court, “The first time I met Ms Griffiths was actually at a friend’s weekend and I had no idea that she was a journalist at that time”, The Times reported

Asked if she socialised with his friends, Harry replied “Not as far as I’m aware. I met her once at a weekend, and then the next day, after I’d left, after the weekend had finished, I found out who she was.

“I had words with my friend and that was that.”

“The only time I’ve met her was at that weekend with Mr Landon and, as I said, I had no idea who she was. I don’t — was she working for the Daily Mail at that time. When I found out, I cut contact with her.

“My social circles were not ‘leaky’, I want to make that absolutely clear, and any time that I was suspicious… then I would have to cut communication with those people.”

The Duke of Sussex, 41, and six other claimants are suing Associated Newspapers for alleged widespread unlawful activities ranging from hacking voicemail messages, bugging landlines and obtaining private information by deception over more than two decades from the early 1990s.

The publisher rejects their case as being “preposterous smears”.

The 11-week trial into the matter brought by Prince Harry, singer Elton John and other high-profile figures ended on Tuesday local time, with judge, Mr Justice Nicklin, saying it will take some time before he can deliver his ruling.
