Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have thrown their support behind Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz amid ongoing tensions with the Beckham family.

The Sussexes invited the young couple to their Montecito mansion in California for dinner, a gesture that could indicate where they stand on the feud.

Beckham, 26 and Peltz, 30 are said to have “gratefully” accepted the “unexpected” invitation, according to a source familiar with the evening.

The insider told The Sun that despite the dinner being arranged before the Beckham family fall out, Harry and Meghan are “very empathetic” towards the ‘battle-wounded’ couple’s situation.

“Harry was fully aware, and offered Brooklyn his unwavering support as someone who has been through similar,” they said.

“They didn’t meet in relation to recent developments and headlines, but it was an honest and very welcome coincidence.”

It is believed that Markle and Peltz had a “deep and meaningful conversation” where they found “common ground” after both being accused of destroying their husbands’ families.

“Meghan had a lot of sympathy for her, and said there was shared common ground,” the insider said.

The couples apparently swapped mobile numbers, however it is unknown whether they have stayed in touch.

The dinner comes just days after Beckham and Peltz skipped David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations in Notting Hill.

Rumours of tension began swirling earlier this year when Beckham failed to post on social media for Victoria’s 51st birthday or Mother’s Day—an uncharacteristic move for the usually sentimental eldest son.

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton was spotted on Monday wearing a £1300 ($2600) suit made by the mother-of-four fashion designer, a subtle nod that suggests where her loyalties lie.

The Sun reported that the Spice Girl was “incredibly touched” by the gesture.

The new potential battle lines have been drawn after Prince Harry called out his deteriorated relationship with the royal family after losing a high-stakes UK court battle about his security.

In an interview with the BBC, Harry said he no longer had contact with his father King Charles.
