Sepehran Airlines: Passengers scream as Boeing 737 ceiling collapses after tyre bursts in disastrous takeoff
Horrifying footage has captured the moment passengers screamed in fear as the cabin’s ceiling was ripped apart after a burst tyre forced the pilot to make an emergency landing.
Terrifying scenes have unfolded on a Sepehran Airlines flight after the cabin’s ceiling collapsed on screaming passengers when a tyre failure forced the pilot to make an emergency landing.
The problem-plagued Boeing 737 was taking off from Iran’s Mashhad airport on September 15 when one of the plane’s landing-gear tyres burst, The Sun reported.
The mid-air emergency prompted the pilot to abandon the domestic flight’s planned journey to Kermanshah and instead make an emergency landing.

Wild footage from inside the cabin shows passengers gripping the headrests of the seats in front as the plane violently trembles.
Screaming from passengers intensifies as the the ceiling starts to give way, leaving sections of the cabin exposed.
One passenger can be heard yelling in terror in what appears to be repeated prayers to Allah.
Some terrified flyers were seen reaching their arms up towards the ceiling in a bid to shield themselves from the falling debris.
Despite the scary ordeal, none of the passengers or airline crew were injured and everyone was safely evacuated upon landing.
Mashhad Airport consequently shut down the runway temporarily so it could be examined.
According to The Sun, a “mechanical failure” caused the flight emergency, but further details have not been made public.
Iran Civil Aviation Organization is continuing to investigate the incident.
It is not the first problem to rock the airline and airport.
Just weeks ago the nose landing gear of a Sepehran Airlines Boeing 737-500 collapsed when the aircraft veered off the runway.
Luckily, no one was injured.
