Police are searching for two thirsty thieves who made off with 70,000 pints worth of Guinness in a heist this week.
UK Police are searching for two thirsty thieves who made off with 70,000 pints worth of Guinness from a depot in Runcorn, an industrial town set between Liverpool and Manchester.
The thieves stole two freight trailers filled to the brim with 800 barrels of the Irish stout under the cover of darkness on Monday night.
The stolen alcohol is valued at $216,000 AU, while the loss of the trailers have cost the depot approximately $94,000.

Detective Sargeant Gary McClatchy told reporters that “it is famously said that ‘Guinness is good for you,’ but that is only the case when it has been bought and paid for”.
“We will settle for nothing less than the full recovery of all the items stolen,” he said.
Police have released details they hope will assist the public with tracking down the thieves, including descriptions of the trucks and their drivers
The Guinness getaway comes after a Californian beer heist in August resulted in the loss of 1,602 cases of Pabst Blue Ribbon and Old Milwaukee beer valued at $100 000.
