Jeremy Clarkson: UK TV star reveals fury after thieves steal 11 sheep from famous Clarkson Farm

Jeremy Clarkson’s farm has been hit with a bizarre livestock heist — with thieves allegedly escaping with 11 of the star’s sheep.

The Clarkson’s Farm star revealed on Friday that he had gone to complete a regular count of the livestock with his co-star Kaleb Cooper earlier this week when they realised the farm had been hit by a late-night raid.

“We came down and actually counted sheep, which is quite difficult to do without dozing off,” the television star said.

The pair shockingly discovered only 16 of his 27 Easycare sheep were still in his Diddly Squat farm, a site that has gained international recognition due to Clarkson’s hit Amazon Prime show about the business.

“There are 11 that have gone missing from this field, but we believe there may be more missing from the other field a mile or so away.”

The former Top Gear star promptly completed a search of the sprawling estate in the hopes of discovering the missing livestock, but after “looking everywhere” he became convinced they were sheep-napped.

Cooper quickly reported the theft to law enforcement, who were photographed speaking with Clarkson on his paddock on Thursday.

The BAFTA-nominated star has praised the investigation into the crime so far, telling the Sun that the police have been “very good, actually”.

“Once you go through 700 hours of recorded messages, I got through to a girl,” he said.

“I said, ‘I know it’s going to sound like I’m from 1856 but I’ve had some sheep stolen’.

“She went through the name and address and then she said, ‘Oh, not your Easycares’.

“She’s obviously been watching the show, but it is the Easycares.”

Easycares are a modern breed of sheep revered by farmers for their lower maintenance, thanks to their natural wool shedding and strong lambing ratios.

The sheep had been kept for breeding purposes but the TV star believes the thieves plan to sell them for their meat.

Clarkson has reported the stolen sheep to be worth more than $3750 at market value.

“I just sold 24 of them at the sheep market the other day and they went for $340 each, so it’s over $3750 of sheep gone missing,” the 66-year-old said.

The star reportedly told law enforcement at the scene that the crime “feels like we’re in the 17th century here . . . sheep rustling”.

“Anyone who has anything stolen, it’s awful, but to have animals stolen . . . it’s awful,” he said.

“They’re very good sheep, they were happy here . . . it upsets me.”

Farm manager Kaleb Cooper echoed the presenter’s words, telling the Sun that there was “a sense of violation” with the crime.

“It’s like someone breaking into your house,” he said.

The 66-year-old TV legend publicly issued a strongly-worded message directed at the thieves: “It’s a farm, we are armed. Just know that. Put them back.”

A spokesperson for the Thames Valley Police confirmed to local media that they were investigating the theft.

“Thames Valley Police is investigating the theft of a number of sheep from a farm in Chadlington,” they said in a statement.

“The theft has occurred at some point over the last 10 days and was unwitnessed.

“The theft was reported to the force on Wednesday. No arrests have been made.”

A police drone was launched over the area to see if the missing sheep could be located, but none were found.
