Tang Feiji: Aviation influencer dies in fireball plane crash in front of 1000 fans in Jiange County, China

An influencer has died after the aircraft he was piloting fell from the sky mid-livestream as more than 1000 viewers watched in horror.
Tang Feiji, 55, was an aviation influencer from China known for filming himself piloting through regional areas in Jiange County.
What started as a regular live stream on September 27 took a grim turn when Mr Feiji’s twin-rotor aircraft suddenly nosedived before crashing into the ground and bursting into flames, ECNS reported.

Mr Feiji had more than 100,000 followers on Douyin, a Chinese social media platform, and was from Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province.
Following the devastating crash, first responders pronounced Mr Feiji dead at the scene. His body was recovered and family members were called to make arrangements.
The aircraft, owned by Mr Feiji, was a single seat coaxial rotor helicopter considered “ultralight” because it weighed only 115kg. It cost about $75,000.

In previous videos posted to Dourin, Mr Feiji said the helicopter could reach a maximum speed of 100km per hour and a maximum altitude of 600 metres.
He also said he had learned all the controls after only a week of study and six hours of hands on practice.
According to some reports, Mr Feiji was not wearing a helmet or a parachute when the helicopter plummeted to the ground, Entertainment Now reported.
His social media accounts have been switched to private following the incident, and many users have since posted tributes.
This comes after airport staff found the body of a stowaway in plane’s landing gear compartment on Sunday.
Maintenance workers made the grisly discovery while conducting a routine check on an American Airlines plane after it landed from Europe in Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina.
The unidentified person was pronounced dead at the scene by local police, who have launched an investigation into the death according to The Sun.
