A “vindictive” woman who posted nude photos of her father’s former mistress on an escort website was jailed for three years on Monday.

Eleanor Brown, 24, put up the pictures on an advert that offered sexual services with the caption: “Ex-police with all my uniform I like to wear for my clients.”

A court heard she conspired with her mother Sarah, who supplied “intimate images”, and her sister Sophie, who resigned in disgrace as a police officer after her role was revealed.

The plot was rooted in Eleanor’s father, married policeman Geoff Brown, 61, having a “short-lived affair” with another married officer in 2012.

The illicit relationship was discovered when Sarah Brown, 57, found “sexually explicit images and videos”, Leeds Crown Court was told.

But both couples “moved on” and stayed together until a decade later the affair came back to haunt them.

Mrs Brown discovered the husband of the former mistress, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had set up a new business advertised on Facebook.

Daughter Eleanor, who had held a deep-seated grudge against the victim, sent the site messages and described the man’s wife as “a home-wrecking slag and tramp”.

The prosecution said in September 2022 an advert offering sexual services was then put on an escort website.

There were sexual images of the former mistress and her husband’s mobile phone number was displayed, leading to numerous calls and texts from men he did not know.

One said: “Hello kinky copper”.

The messages and fake advert were taken down after they complained but the harassment continued.

Further “naked photos” of the same woman were posted to a small business website.

The prosecution revealed Eleanor even contacted the couple’s daughter, who knew nothing of the old affair, and told her: “I will make sure your mum is never allowed to forget what she did to my family and wherever she goes these photos will always remain and follow her.”

Judge Alex Menary said Eleanor was “utterly unapologetic” when interviewed by police.

He added that “the lack of remorse is staggering” and he described her as “vindictive, selfish and vengeful”.

The court heard Eleanor believed the former mistress would be “too embarrassed” to report them to police – but the couple did complain.

The prosecution claimed Eleanor, when interviewed by police, seemed “morally justified in what she had done”.

And the court was told: “The three of them took great delight in what Eleanor Brown was doing and showed no restraint”.

Sarah, also a former police officer, escaped prosecution as did Sophie but she was barred from policing for life for her part in the scheme.

Sophie had also reassured her sister that the authorities would “not lock you up” for what she had done.

The court heard that Eleanor had known of the affair since she was a child but had never met her father’s former lover.

In her victim impact statement, the one-time mistress said she was left feeling “nauseous and anxious” by what had happened.

She added that her private photographs being viewed by strangers for “sexual gratification” had left her feeling “violated”.

The victim said she had “no control” over the images on the internet and, in reference to Eleanor, she said she was “fearful of what she was capable of” due to the “hate she harboured over the years”.

Eleanor, from Morley in Leeds, had pleaded guilty in September but only after the victim and her husband gave evidence.

She admitted two offences of disclosing private sexual photographs without consent.

Judge Menary ignored a plea by Harry Crowson, mitigating, to suspend the prison term.

The barrister had admitted: “There’s every instinct to believe she is entirely undeserving of sympathy.”

The court was told that she had no previous convictions and Mr Crowson claimed that “Eleanor became a warrior in a war she should not ever have been fighting”.

An indefinite restraining order was also placed on Eleanor by the judge.
