He saw a visible bite wound to his daughter’s neck and rushed to call emergency services to their Leaden Roding, Essex, home at 10.45pm.

While Mr Biscoe, 37, was trying to revive Jamie-Lea, the family’s female blue-merle Lurcher-cross named “Shy” attacked him as well, biting off part of his ear and leaving wounds in his arm.

Tragically, despite life-saving efforts from her father and paramedics, Jamie-Lea was pronounced dead at the scene.

Immediately after the fatal attack, Mr Biscoe pleaded with police to ensure Shy was euthanised as soon as possible.

“I just said to them ‘please just put her down’,” he told The Sun. “I don’t want to see her ever again… I just don’t think that dog should live anymore.”

Police are understood to be performing tests to determine Shy’s precise breed and a forensic examination to prove she carried out the fatal attack.

Mr Biscoe was arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog who was dangerously out of control and causing injury resulting in death. He was released on bail on Saturday evening.

Mr Biscoe, who is in agony over his daughter’s death, has made a second plea about Shy’s two puppies, Bella and Mouse.

“We know that (Shy) did (it). She was the one that was covered in blood and she attacked me,” he said.

Speaking about the two 18-month-old puppies, he said: “Those dogs have seen too much. They need to be put down in my opinion. I don’t want them to live in this world now.”

In his view, although the puppies were not part of the attack, they could never be placed with a family again because they have “seen too much”.

“They could never possibly be rehomed after that situation. I think the best thing for them would be to put them to sleep.”

Mr Biscoe said that Shy had always been a loving dog, with no history of biting or aggressive behaviour. He had purchased her when she was just seven weeks old.

“My daughter was not killed by an XL Bully, she was killed by a genuine family dog.

“I thought I could trust that dog with my life and it took my daughter’s life. She was my daughter’s best friend and she still killed her.

“I lost my entire life on Friday when my daughter was murdered by another member of my family.

“Witnessing the horror and destruction it has caused me, it’s not worth it. Treat them as dogs, give them their beds, be careful.”

Her family is raising funds to cover the cost of her funeral via GoFundMe.
