Princess Kate in high spirits as Louis and rest of the family enjoy a Nerf gun shoot-out
The Princess of Wales was spotted running around with a toy Nerf gun with her children in a fun shoot-out at a family festival.
Stunned revellers were heartened to see Kate, Prince William, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and six-year-old Prince Louis at the Gone Wild Festival at Holkham Hall, Norfolk, last weekend.
The princess, 42, who has been battling cancer, was also seen playing “stuck in the mud”, while Louis was yelling ‘Nerf or nothing, let’s do this!’, onlookers said.

They asked if we could provide a high-intensity, non-stop game of Nerf fun, and of course, Norfolk Nerf did what we do best.”
The three royal children also abseiled down a 40ft wall at the festival organised by adventurer Bear Grylls.
Ms Barron said: “I was called to the production team’s office and told that a very special VIP family had requested to play Nerf wars.
“The Princess of Wales grabbed a Nerf gun, ran around, and played stuck in the mud with her children.
“Prince Louis was shouting with glee, ‘Come on, Nerf or nothing. Let’s do this!’
“I’m still in awe of what a memorable experience we had.”
Reports of the family outing come just days after the royal couple sent a heartfelt message to British Olympians congratulating them at the end of the Paris Olympics last weekend.
In a rare sighting of Kate, the pair enlisted stars for their video clip.
Kensington Palace said it did not comment on private days out.
