Unruly passenger kicked off flight after food-throwing tantrum over man allegedly flirting with his wife

One man’s food-throwing meltdown has been caught on camera after he allegedly became enraged over his wife supposedly flirting with another man.
Dramatic video of the moment the man was kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight for causing a scene was posted to Instagram on January 12.
It shows the man being confronted by an airline employee who tells him: “There’s no excuse, so I’m telling you you have to get off”.

“So if your wife’s over there talking to another dude man, you’re just going to sit there and take it?” he asks a man sitting behind him. “But you feel like you can talk to me? Is that fair?”
After the man puts up his hand to signal that he doesn’t want to engage, the unruly passenger squares up and says “don’t point your finger at me!”
The airline employee attempts to diffuse the situation as the man continues to yell at the innocent passenger: “You’re running your mouth!” he says with multiple obscenities.
The furious passenger then turns his attention to another passenger who can be heard saying “dollar for a slice” as the agitated man walks by with a pizza box.
“Put your phone down”, he says to the man who is now filming the ordeal.
“Are you like 80? You’re still filming people? Don’t make me throw my food at you just to make a point,” he says before hurling a white plastic bag of food at the passenger who continues filming.
Another airline employee then steps in and the man is escorted off the plane as passengers clap.
Two passengers on the flight that recorded the footage, Zachary Neal and Mike Merrigan, told People that the enraged passenger was upset after a man was allegedly flirting with his wife on the plane during boarding.
“He was just belligerent towards his wife,” Mr Merrigan said. “She was crying. She wanted to be moved, so they did move her away from him, his own wife.
“Then she ended up talking to the guy next to him, and that just set him off. “
Mr Neal said after his wife was moved, the man was “yelling across the aisle at her”.
He said that despite the drama, the Southwest Airlines crew “handled the situation extremely professionally”.
“Definitely kudos to them because it could have very easily turned into a complete nightmare.”
