A Starbucks worker was shocked when they arrived for an early shift and found the coffee shop completely ransacked.

But it wasn’t a typical burglary, it was rather cartoon-ish.

The culprits did not opt for the front door, or any door for that matter, instead they decided to burrow in.

After the early morning barista called authorities on August 8, attending police officers discovered a tunnel dug through the bathroom wall of the Starbucks from a vacant unit next door.

Now, police have released footage showing the strange discovery.

Body camera video posted by Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office on Facebook shows the tiled wall next to the toilet was completely smashed to create the passage.

The vacant unit next door was left littered with wall foam and pieces of wood from the framing.

Once inside the store, the burglars went through cash drawers, and also destroyed essential property by cutting through computer cables

The footage of the Kingston, Washington shop also shows cupboards ransacked and a safe battered in an unsuccessful attempt to open it.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police are yet to name any suspects or charge anyone in relation to the burglary.

It is unclear how much cash the burglars managed to grab, and police said that the total damage done to the shop is still being calculated.

Social media users were disappointed by the buglarly, with locals sad that their favourite coffee spot was targeted.

“Hope they catch them, this is a great place to go with friends for coffee. Nice employees too,” one Facebook user wrote.

Others felt little remorse for the chain store.

“How will Starbucks survive,” one user commented.

Some couldn’t believe the lengths the burglars went to.

“Bro thought he was in a heist movie. It’s Starbucks bro,” wrote one commenter.

“They must be Hundredaires now!!! Seriously, who uses cash to get coffee these days,” wrote another.

Many were disturbed that the burglars damaged onsite property.

“(Who) cuts computer cables just for the hell of it? This isn’t a robbery this is just insanity on full display,” one user wrote.
