Former US Attorney General Pam Bondi has reportedly undergone treatment for thyroid cancer after being fired from the Trump administration earlier this year.
Ms Bondi, 60, exited the Department of Justice in April and was replaced on an interim basis by Todd Blanche.

“Pam has been quietly kicking cancer’s a.. the last few weeks. @PamBondi has a heart of gold,” she wrote on X.
Donald Trump removed Ms Bondi from her post after she created a number of political headaches for the US President.
One of those related to her handling of the Epstein files, in which it is understood Mr Trump grew frustrated by her inability to quickly prosecute adversaries who he wanted to face criminal charges.
Ms Bondi was accused of covering up or mismanaging the release of records on the DOJ’s sex trafficking investigations into Epstein, a financier who cultivated ties with an array of wealthy and powerful figures.
These issues resulted in mounting pressure on the President over his past friendship with Jeffery Epstein.
But Ms Bondi has remained closely connected to President Donald Trump despite her departure from the administration.
She was recently appointed to a White House advisory panel focused on AI initiatives.
Vice President JD Vance praised Ms Bondi following the appointment, describing her as a key figure within the president’s team and welcoming her continued involvement in major policy issues.
“Pam has been an enormously valuable asset to the president’s team, and I’m thrilled for her and for all of us that she’s going to remain involved in confronting some of the most important issues the administration faces,” Mr Vance said in a statement on her appointment to the committee.
